I practice compassion for myself

With compassion, I free myself from suffering
With compassion, I help myself find peace and feel safe in this world
With compassion, I create contentment in my life
With compassion, I inspire myself to flourish

With patience and good humour, I welcome my imperfections
With sympathy, I feel for my suffering
With empathy, I mind what I’m feeling and try to understand why

For myself, I seek wisdom
I nurture a broad perspective of who I am
I foster gratefulness for my mind and body
And I acknowledge that suffering and difficulties are part of being alive
