Happy Sunday. Since yesterday was an easy one, let’s choose a more challenging subject today, loved ones who frustrate us sometimes. The very last line that begins with “I acknowledge” is particularly important, watch for it:
I practice compassion for loved ones who frustrate me sometimes
With compassion, I free them from suffering
With compassion, I help them find peace and feel safe in this world
With compassion, I create contentment in their lives
With compassion, I inspire them to flourish
With patience and good humour, I welcome the imperfections of loved ones who frustrate me sometimes
With sympathy, I feel for their suffering
With empathy, I mind what their feeling and try to understand why
For loved ones who frustrate me sometimes, I seek wisdom
I nurture a broad perspective
I foster gratefulness
And I acknowledge that suffering and difficulties are part of their lives
